What is a legal strike compared to an illegal strike?

A legal strike could be called if the National Labor Relations Board, and the Federal Courts find that AT&T has done unfair labor practices. An illegal strike would be, as an example, calling a strike while the contract is still in effect, and without the NLRB and Federal Courts ruling against AT&T

How much is the strike fund and is it tax free?

The strike fund is $300 per week, and yes it is tax free

What happens to benefits during a legal strike?

You are still covered during a legal strike because you are still an active employee of the company. If you are on disability, you remain on disability.
