All techs in the Local will begin having 90 minute orientation for the Article 43 certification process. The dates are as follows:

After this orientation, everyone should have a clear understanding of the certification process. If you have any questions on any of this, please see a steward or call the local.

Local elections are underway; nomination papers are out and the nomination period will end on Oct 12. If you are interested in running for any office, you need to file nomination papers. The ballots will be mailed on Oct 21st, and need to be returned by Nov 7th…any ballot received after the 7th, will be void. The election committee will count all Ballots on November 8th. If anyone has any questions, please call the election committee at 508-961-1405.

There will be an executive board meeting on October 18th, followed by a General Membership meeting. CWA Vice President Ralph Maly will attend this meeting, so you won’t want to miss it. Ralph will discuss the merger, upcoming bargaining and answer questions from members.

Negotiations have completed in the town of Ayer, Westford, and Littleton. We are just waiting for ratification vote on the contracts. Special thanks to all the stewards involved, it could not have been done without you.
