Thank you for calling local 1051's information tape; this is Wednesday January 26, 2005, President Teoli speaking.

AT&T’s latest announcement came yesterday, January 25th, 2005. They are cutting 1,700 jobs and closing four customer service centers. This is a clear sign that AT&T doesn't’t care about their customers or their employees.

The following are the centers closing Mesa, AZ, Syracuse, NY, Marietta, Ga, and Town and Country, MO. AT&T is closing centers they say because call volumes are dropping, but in the meantime, they are sending jobs overseas.

They are also cutting more than 200 technician jobs.

The following is the VTP for Network Tech Specialist in our Local
